This section describes the various products that Charmed Quark Systems provides. CQC is a software based automation system, available only as a download, and is available in a Do-It-Yourself form as well as in a professionally installed form.
Software Based Products
We offer our software-based products via two channels. If you are interested in a DIY automation solution which you will install and configure yourself, then you can buy our downloadable software product from the Buy It link on the left. This is an 'as is', 'best effort support' product. Support is purely through the support forum. This allows us to offer a product of this size and complexity for a reasonable price to those customers technically proficient to implement their own solution. There is an active and helpful community available on the support forum to help with most any questions you might have.
DIY Price: MSRP $695 (There's a $100 off sale going on for the month of July!)
You may also contract one of our Integration Partners to install the CQC product on hardware of your choice, or hardware provided by your chosen Integration Partner. Only registered CQSL Integration Partners are authorized to install and customize CQC systems, so only they will have the necessary access to Charmed Quark support required to insure the timely and robust delivery of your solution. This version of the product is sold via Integration Partners only.
Professionally Installed Price: MSRP $2,625
Note that Integration Partners cannot provide their services to customers who have purchased the DIY version of the product, so don't ask them to do so. You may upgrade your system to the integrator's version by paying the difference between the cost of your existing DIY license and the integrator license.
Customers who buy the DIY version and pay a non-Integration Partner to install it, or who have a non-Integration Partner install a DIY version, will void all obligations of Charmed Quark Systems to the customer, including the obligation to license any future versions. So please do not do this. It is a clear abuse of our attempt to provide an inexpensive version to the DIY community.
Hardware Products
Charmed Quark Systems does not itself offer any hardware systems with CQC pre-installed. However there are various companies which sell pre-fab PC systems, for front or back end applications. If you are thinking of signing up as one of our Installation Partners, you can purchase pre-fab systems from our reseller partner VidaBox, which includes CQC as part of the package and pre-installed.
