AutoPatch/1YDM, 4YDMN/ASerial

Description:

The AutoPatch 1YDM is an audio/video matrix switcher. It is available in from 4x4 up to 16x16 configurations, and this driver should support any of those forms. Note that this driver replaces the old one way driver.

Quirks and Limitations:

This driver requires that all logical connections are established before installing the driver. This can be done either via the Autopatch config file method (see your manual for details) or by simply using the front panel to establish a connection between each input and output at least once. If you try to install this driver and it won't progress past connect, check the front panel. Watch the display as the driver tries to connect and you'll see it cycling through the outputs trying to determine its status. You should see which output is causing the issue. To correct it, remove the driver, then use the front panel to manually connect the output to an input (any input). Then try again.

Connection Details

The AutoPatch uses a serial connection. The port configuration is 9600 baud, 8 bits, one stop bit, no parity.

Driver Fields

This section lists the fields that the driver makes available, their types, minimum and maximum values, etc...

NameTypeR/WDescription
OutputXStringR/WRead or set the input for output X. The valid values are NoInput, or Input1 through InputY. X is the number of  outputs entered during the driver install, and Y is the number of inputs.
CommandStringWWrite a command to be executed. Valid commands are described below.
KeyPressStringWTakes the field value and passes it directly to the autopatch. It is thus the same as pressing buttons on the front panel, if you know what letter or character those keys represent, for instance Take is the same as sending in a 'T'.

Command Format

This field allows certain 1-way commands to be sent to the Autopatch. The following are the commands that are directly supported by this field. In all examples, X is a value from 1 through the number of outputs indicated during the driver install.

MUTEx - Mutes output x.

UNMUTEx - Unmutes output x.

VOLUPx - Increment the volume for output x.

VOLDOWNx - Decrement the volume for output x.
